1. How does Signature price their built-in cabinets? Is it per square foot?
At Signature, we utilise a modular system for our cabinets. In other words, we do not quote prices per foot run. If you provide us with a floor plan, we would be delighted to offer you a free consultation complete with a proposal and quotation.
2. How long does it take to complete a built-in cabinet?
The time required to complete a built-in cabinet typically ranges from 1½ to 2 months, depending on the size and design. Each component, carcass, door panel and worktop are custom-made upon each order, resulting in the specified duration.
3. Can you dismantle our cabinet set? If not, where can we find someone to do the job?
If you purchase Signature cabinets, we offer services to dismantle and dispose of your old cabinets at a cost. However, please note that we do not provide standalone dismantling services. We recommend seeking assistance from professionals who specialise in cabinet dismantling and disposal.
4. My house will be ready in a few years. Can I get a quotation now?
Of course! However, please be aware that the quoted price is subject to change until the actual day of purchase. Unforeseen circumstances might affect the final price.
5. What materials do you use for your kitchen cabinets?
We use Melamine Faced Chipboard (MFC) and MDF for our kitchen cabinets, which are both durable and moisture-resistant. In terms of worktops, our three primary choices are Quartz Stone, Solid Surface, and Compact Top.
6. Are MDF and MFC durable materials? Which one is better?
Both MDF and MFC used by Signature are durable and moisture-resistant materials. The main difference lies in their respective applications and finishes. For instance, MDF is suitable for specific door profiles, while MFC is well-suited for broader door profiles. Both options offer excellent durability and performance.
7. Where do your quartz stones originate from?
Our quartz stones come from various parts of the world, primarily from Europe, the US and Asia. These quartz stones are Signature’s original equipment manufacturer (OEM) products and carry a 10-year warranty against manufacturing defects, subject to the terms and conditions.
8. Are your cabinets suitable for outdoor or semi-outdoor areas?
Regrettably, our cabinets are not suitable for outdoor areas as our materials are timber-based. Exposure to outdoor elements may cause the cabinets to deteriorate and lose their integrity.
9. Are there any warranties for your built-in cabinets?
Our built-in cabinets do come with a warranty period, which may vary depending on the specific product. Please refer to our warranty terms and conditions for more details.
10. Can you help me install appliances and accessories from a third party?
Yes, but there will be an additional charge imposed. Please let us know the specifications beforehand to avoid complications during installation.
11. Is Signature using Eco-Boards?
Most of our products are made using E0 boards.
12. What is the difference between modular and carpentry?
For carpentry, they don’t use standard-size carcasses, they don’t take into consideration the international standard sizes. A lot of international-sized fittings, accessories and appliances do not fit. For modular, we implement international standard modular systems which can accommodate all standard-size fittings, accessories and appliances.
In terms of carpentry, cabinets are custom-made according to the specific measurements and design preferences of the homeowner. Carpenters build unique and personalised cabinets that fit perfectly within the space. This approach offers flexibility in design but can be more time-consuming and labour-intensive.
On the other hand, as a modular cabinet system manufacturer, we pre-manufacture cabinet components that are designed to be easily assembled and installed. These cabinets come in preset standardised sizes and configurations, allowing homeowners to choose from a range of pre-designed options. The modular system simplifies the installation process and reduces construction time significantly. It provides practical and functional solutions for various layouts but might have limited design flexibility compared to custom carpentry.
13. Why do we need to pay full payment before delivery?
Because every set of products is custom-made to each customer’s requirements. The products cannot be recycled for another order. Furthermore, all imported materials need to be purchased before production starts, therefore we need to collect 100% upon submission or production.
